The Extender features PC & console ports on the transmitter to connect additional display, keyboard and mouse for local control and console & PC ports on the receiver to connect an additional PC on the remote console side. In both units you can either connect USB or PS/2 keyboard and mouse and PCs using the KVM cables included. It's also possible to connect a second source on the receiver unit and control it pushing the switching button on the front panel or via hotkey.
